  1. C+D…
I worked at a Tool and Die place and we had to sign NDA’s when quoting on new tooling etc…
A little different but same principle…

  2. Many vendors want to know details of your environment, systems, apps, etc. before they’ll give you a formal proposal. And most orgs I’ve worked for want that NDA before those details can be provided to a vendor. That’s why I think C and D are the right answers. But I’ve seen B and D as the given answers more than I’ve seen C and D.

  3. Why the eff would you need an NDA when researching for new services. That’s just a dumb answer.

  4. B (RFP) and D (RFI).

    From CASP’s official prep book:

    RFI (request for information)
The first phase in the contract requirement process, in which a company sends out notices to prospective vendors or contractors asking them for their experience and qualification in filling the business’s need for services or equipment.

    RFP (request for proposal)
The second phase in the contract requirement process, in which a company asks prospective vendors or contractors for their proposed solutions to the business’s needs.

    RFQ (request for quote)
The third phase in the contract requirement process, in which a company negotiates the financial details of their relationship with prospective vendors or contractors.

    1. You actually got me to the answer of C/D because of your breakdown. The key that stuck out in the question is “in the first step of the process”. The request process goes RFI>RFP>RFQ as you listed. So for the FIRST step it would have to be NDA & RFI.
